We don't need twitter.We don't need staff
Twitter doesn't need moderation

Of course they do. They're impersonating a serious newspaper. However whether they do or not is not relevant to the fact that parody requires appearing to be the genuine article. Although I doubt Musk actually comprehends comedy. The Onion recently wrote a long court submission describing parody, how it works and its long history.I may be proven wrong here, but I think the Onion does not impersonate anybody.
Actually we don't particularly care what the twit does. We can still point out when the behaviour is idiotic. Like misunderstanding parody, satire or some other form of comedy.Yoh people really don't like that another can do as they please with their property. Such anti-communist behaviour.
Now pay $8.Actually we don't particularly care what the twit does. We can still point out when the behaviour is idiotic. Like misunderstanding parody, satire or some other form of comedy.
The New York times and Washington post are also impersonating a serious newspaper. Not a person.Of course they do. They're impersonating a serious newspaper. Parody is the imitation of the style of writing or such. Attempting to appear to actually be that person is not parody.Of course they do. They're impersonating a serious newspaper. I wonder if they would have been doing this if that comedian chic (I see it's actually a gogo) hadn't taken the piss out of Elon.

Yeah, true parody websites and material make it very clear that it is what it is.Parody is the imitation of the style of writing or such. Attempting to appear to actually be that person is not parody.
There is a word for what you're describing. It's called impersonation.
Having an account labelled clearly as parody doesn't to me diminish the comedic value of the parody. You know who they're supposed to be parodying, so you understand what style they're imitating.
Agreed. Active attempts at deception are not part of parody.Yeah, true parody websites and material make it very clear that it is what it is.
It doesn't try to mislead people into believing made up stories.
I think you're the one misunderstanding parody if I'm honest.Actually we don't particularly care what the twit does. We can still point out when the behaviour is idiotic. Like misunderstanding parody, satire or some other form of comedy.
