I had major issues in the beginning but all seems good at the moment. I'm using the app on an LG CX TV and in the beginning I couldn't paly 4K. Now 4K works and I don't really have the issue with buffering. My only gripe is the subtitles as mentioned, the LG app has no trailers and the app also doesn't show the quality of the content before watching.

Disney Hotstar, shall be now named Disney hotshct...
Service delivery were/and is still abysmal... Now I wonder how much Disney paid the influenzas to promote the terrible app, prior to launch?
I'd say, leave the Disney streaming for a year, to sort itself out, if it is not fixed by then, then it will be never fixed.

AppleTV, no buffering on a 50Mbps line, but the app never saves what I've watched.

Thing is, Netflix was early into the game, so had much time to iron out these bugs...
They were early as in 1997 early.
The companies that fought against streaming and tried everything to prevent it from happening.
And only after that, did they decide to join the game late.

Opposite experience for me. Started off really well on my LGTV and in the last few weeks it’s all gone for a ball of crap.

They really need to sort this out.

Quick q from someone who has never bothered with multi channel audio over stereo - is it still a thing? Genuinely curious. Maybe I should try it one day.
Yeah it's a thing :) I mean there is even Atmos and DTS X

The buffering drives me crazy. I dont have the same issue on Netflix.
to be fair you could be on a farm and be connected via a 2G network and Netflix will still work. All these companies should stop harassing Netflix and get the fundamentals with the servers, app and customer support right before they launch these half-baked apps, no use having the content if it's going to be a bigger hassle than pirating.

Seems the solution is to use the US version of the app and change your geo location to Australia so you can get the star content.

Won't work, as the app signs in with your phone not your email address

At the very least the iPad app is finally fullscreen, it doesn't have the status bar at the top anymore.

We get buffering too. At first I thought it was our connection, but it does not buffer like this in Netflix or Prime.
Totally the same for us. 50Meg connection, so there should be no issues.

Cancelled and went with the high seas, instantantly notice the quality if far superior.
Haven't cancelled my annual sub, but do the same. I can't believe they forced me to do this. LPlex is so much better as an interface (and quality) even when I am not home.
