Two petrol price changes proposed for South Africa

Trade union Solidarity has sent letters to energy minister Gwede Mantashe and finance minister Enoch Godongwana, calling for changes to be made to South Africa's record-high petrol price.

both suggestions are no-brainers ... which is exactly why the ANC won't even consider them, it makes too much sense and it depletes the pig's trough

although fuel levies shouldn't just be reduced, should be scrapped entirely
