TymeBank gets R1.6 billion from international investors

TymeBank has announced that it has secured an investment of R1.6 billion from new investors in the UK and Philippines.

It said the investment is one of the largest foreign investments any fintech company has secured in South Africa, and will be used to boost TymeBank’s growth and accelerate it on its path to commercial success.

Well done, Tyme bank!

Hope greed doesn't take over and you lose the reason for having come into the banking sector.

So far, I am happy to be your client.

Yesterday I saw they're now offering to pay your salary a day earlier if you switch your salary to them. That seems a bit risky in the current climate. One of my previous companies once paid my salary two days late due to a mess up on HR's side.

It's just the salaries that gets processed earlier.

Good for them.
I don't have any real complaints, other that their email contact centre is silent.
Digital doesn't equal better though.
Even if I had a zillion crypto currency, there's nothing like having a wallet of cash :)
So Tymebank and Capitec fit my needs right now.
