You are making the case for not needing federal laws on abortion.Well you seem to be making the argument that any law made is useless because people will find a way around it.
Abortion was illegal in Ireland up to the end of 2018. Yet, 4000 women per year travelled to England and Europe to carry out the abortions.
Those who couldn't afford to travel took illegal ones, or self medicated to induce. Estimates for 2018 were around 2300 per year.
In Brazil, over 250 000 women are hospitalised per year due to complications from illegal abortions.
So using your apathy in respect to ways to affect change, why bother with abortion laws?
US has almost completely free movement between states. So if you want to kill your own child, there is nothing stopping you from just going to a Democrat state that allows it and pick up the free T-shirt that says you are a compassionate human being afterwards.
Where the federal government does have a say, is that if a state tried to prevent a pregnant woman from leaving that state to get an abortion. Or when freedom of movement for that woman is restricted, like if they are in a prison or something like that.
