It literally is, yes.
If I knowingly omit certain information while pushing other information, you are pushing out imaging and framing of someone or something that is purposefully false.
If I say A is actually B. That it lying.
If I omit information purposefully about AB, and the result is B. The same result has been achieved.
Example:
If Russia and the US both do the same thing.
"NewsChaCha" only puts out accurate positives of the US, and only puts out accurate negatives of Russia.
The result is a worldview where the US is good and Russia is bad, when in reality both have done the same thing.
How is that not the same as saying the sky is green. The same outcome has been achieved. A false outcome.
