You know that there are people of Chinese descent living in the United States right? American citizens who might be the target of bigotry if the term "China virus" becomes widely used.
It obviously refers to the country of origin and initial outbreak.

There's stupid people everywhere, but this is not an excuse to be stupid yourself.

Hopefully biden will sign an order banning the term 'south african variant'... every ****ing doctor, newspaper and politician is using this racist term, these racists must be punished
Just think how well the private prison industry is going to do with all these evil racist criminals getting locked up.

Hunter Biden: Buys shares in private prisons

same people who keep reporting me?
People are reporting you? Sad.
There are lots of stupid people who are also bigots, why encourage them just because you are attached to a silly term?
If we look carefully we can see the goalposts have grown legs and is currently sprinting.
It's not a silly term when you're in an economic war with the greatest upcoming threat to the world.

I'm not the one pandering to the lowest common denominator.
I can differentiate between China and the CCP which are bad and other random peoples of Chinese decent living all over the world, mostly irrelevant and hopefully free from the CCP.

I don't care about about "bigots" enough to regulate my speech to not upset their sensitive feelings.

The Bigots must do what they wish, and hopefully there's laws on the other side of the world from where I am to deal with actual real crime if one of those bigots gets out of hand.

Not sure what that has to do with a virus....

It's an opportunity to inflict damage on China's reputation and thus economy.
Just like China used the virus as an opportunity to damage the rest of the world's economy.
As I said above, the Chinese government literally told their diaspora to buy up all local PPE.

But that's not what @DavidFreeman said? He said that it happened long before. He's correct, it did happen long before.
He didn't say it was reported long ago.
As for your out-of-context Trump quote, that was leaked private locker room talk, something that most men engage in to some degree. It happened in 2005, long before he ran for president, and is neither as bad as you think it is, nor would I even take it into consideration when assessing his suitability or competency as POTUS.
He also called it "private" as if that gave Donnie immunity.

He said it was, "something that most men engage in to some degree"... Do you tell your mates you grabbed random women by the pu**y, Vorastra?

How is a presidential candidate's attitude toward women, or admitted sexual assault, "out-of-context" to prospective voters? Or are you like Dave:
nor would I even take it into consideration when assessing his suitability or competency as POTUS

It became public in October. A month before they voted.

Now...

If you're about to dig into a 'but he said it in 2005' defence, have a word with your pals posting Joe clips from the 90s.

Also, let's do a thought experiment, shall we?

Your long-time SO tells you she was sexually assaulted by one of her work colleagues ten years ago.

He still works with her.

Where do you land on just letting it slide, or punching him in the face the next time you see him?

Either @Cray has no clue how international economies and trade works, or he's purposefully feigning ignorance.
A country sabotaging the economies of other countries that buy so much of its own products doesn't really make a lot of sense to me.... Care to explain how the Chinese would benefit from wrecking the economies of its biggest trading partners?

But none of this is the point? You were wrong, and he was right?
It did happen a long time ago.

I didn't but, bruh, yes people do this. Have you never been in high school, especially an all-boys high school? This is exactly the sort of thing people said.
Do I think it's fine? Nope.
