that's not how any of this works, when you control the house, the senate and the executive it is your responsibility to steer the ship, your responsibility to not be divisive

... and your opportunity to be magnanimous in victory

who are we kidding though, these cnuts just want to twist the knife, they have no interest whatsoever in doing what's best for their country

And I've been having these discussion on this forum for a decade now.

When it comes up in threads unrelated to the SADF, the conversation always starts like Dave's post. Always.

That's the language all old national servicemen speak.

Where you were called up to. Where you deployed. When you got your callup.

Our language...

Ours.

You know how it doesn't start?

With a technical reference to a weapon no serviceman ever called anything but an 89mm rocket launcher. Ever.

Maybe you did national service. Maybe you're a defence industry guy... or maybe you're a larper... You don't speak our language 'tho, and that's a red flag for me, pal.

Or you could just be talking the talk. Its irrelevant where, what your service entailed. I will give you 3 out 10 for deflection

I may be mistaken since I haven't checked Thr Gateway view on this yet but those untrustworthy dictionary things say that it means that everyone ie 100 percent of eligible people, voted to change the name.
I hear Republicans are calling for a recount after Trump Plaza flipped blue.

I wonder if 100% of the vote gives them enough Electoral College votes to change the name?

err, you do know that's not actually Thomas Sowell tweeting...

It's someone tweeting quotes from his writing, which is a bit different from him communicating himself

Note the date of the 'tweet' / tweeted quote...I didn't dig further but it seems that that New Years Resolution has been around for a while now...

Are there any lengths you will not go to in order to mislead people?
I don't get "I'm not Thomas Sowell, but I own all of his books" thing. Is it a disclaimer to bypass impersonation Ts & C's ?

seems it's 2021 right now btw
And yet that post was 'me reaping' distilled to an essential oil.

Recall all Trumpist the 'cry more', 'delicious liberal tears', and 'elections have consequences' posts?

I do.

Turns out elections *do* have consequences.

as you may know, I have nothing but disdain for anyone who prays to the logical fallacy god, so instead of saying "textbook whataboutism", let me rephrase:

- the actions of the previous regime has absolutely no bearing on, nor does it give any justification for, irrational actions of the current regime

- the current regime promised to bring the country together, time to prove it

- the current regime promised to prioritise aid / stimulus / handouts that "Trump delayed", yet they are spending every waking hour on persecution rather than anything at all to do with aid

Saying you are 'amazed that you lot don't see anything wrong with someone getting arrested for posting a meme' implies that it was a 'harmless little joke meme' - unfortunately memes are a form of communication and harmful, slanderous, misleading, and fraudulent communications are indeed indictable.
You're in support of people being arrested for posting memes on the internet... Got it. o_O

Those are quotes that Thomas Sorwell has made. Many of tweets even reference the original source of the quote. No idea what point you are trying to make, but it's a very stupid one.

The only 'unity' you'd find acceptable is Democrats pushing a Republican agenda.

Cry more, Narrow.

But just wait till you see how quickly the Democrats impose policies to rig the system in favor of the Wall Street elites and against the little guy, and bail out the billion dollar hedge funds that the little guy has taken down with completely legal trading.

The option has been there for a while.

DC is a no-brainer 'tho.

There are more folks in DC than Wyoming, or Vermont and they have no congressional representation.

Petty sure Repubs will argue the constitution says it needs to be a federal district, so...

Ta-Dah! Federal district, within the State of DC.

Yeah, this needs to be done.
I feel like they should have done this 100 years ago...
