When your vehicles are roadworthy and stop ripping off people then maybe you can lodge a complaint.
The problem here is that when there is competition everyone cries foul.
Change your business model to compete.
Still waiting for the metered taxi app which no one will use anyway.

Been ripped off and extorted for too long.

I have zero sympathy with taxi drivers, they dug their own graves.

Uber all the way.

+1

Almost R400 to drive from the airport to Milnerton with a metered taxi. R140 with Uber for the same trip. I have no sympathy for the monopoly that they once were.

They are feeling "violated" hence they react.
Their days of extortion are numbered.

I see there are complaints about Uber in the EU and US too with complaints from metered taxi drivers.

Simply register your metered taxi as an Uber taxi.

Problem solved.

Lol actually you do have a point
The vast majority of metered taxis would not qualify for uber. Afaik the car needs to be 3 years old or less and in perfect running condition.

From my experience that would disqualify every metered taxi I have ever used.

Also drivers should have no criminal records and have a PDP.

SA consumers are tired of being ripped off.

Not all industries have gotten the message yet.

As far as I care those taxi okes were doomed from the start. I see them hanging outside the zone in their 19fotsek mercs.

Meter taxis are unroadworthy; drivers are arrogant they just doing your favor and some drivers barely speak English.

Uber driver is polite; working air-condition;windscreen wipers functioning;speed-ometer etc. Meter taxi industry have to also comply with their vehicles being roadworthy.. I feel safe with Uber, don't have to carry large sums of cash to cover the fair.
