I was thinking more Vietnam :D

I’ve used UberNAM twice now, the drivers have been incredibly unfriendly. Anecdotal at best, but my experience so far.

They're probably pissed off because they cannot use their Toyota Quantum for UberNAM.

Since you are on this forum, I assume you know some IT? Which means you have a good understanding of software. So download the Uber and Bolt apps, have a look at how they work.

Then write something that has the best of both. Since you won't have any competition, you can let the customers and drivers do the QA for you. Whenever either call you to complain, you fix it and release.

By the end of this year, you'll have a product that you can sell to e-hailing companies throughout africa.

I have just made you an instant millionaire

I make regular use of both Bolt and Uber, and 99% of their drivers are always friendly. However when it comes to Bolt Go and UberNam, it is always UberNam which is available, in my area and not Bolt Go.

I use both, If I'm not in a rush, but perfer the cheaper Bolt Go, but more often then not Bolt Go doens't have any drivers looking for pickups (Cape Town CBD and Milnerton)

I was in PE about two years back and they had Uber Go I think it was called, which let you order a hatchback for cheaper, I have never seen this option in Cape Town Or Durban.

How is UberNAM/Uber Namibia going?

I have not needed to use a ride sharing service in well over a year.

Thats a sad move by Uber, I wonder how their other discounts cut into the drivers share.
Anybody know Bolt Go's breakdown?

This is why I always tip

UberNam: R85 +R10
Driver: R73.75
Uber: 21.25

UberX: R116 + 10
Driver R97
Uber: 29

Obviously it would be better for them if I took X, but as somebody who take sometimes up to 30 trips a month, that R31 adds up.
