I tried many times, but you don't listen. So lets reverse roles, so you can show in your marketing drivel what is in Ubiquiti US-8 (circa R1600) better than in ordinary Gigabit 8-port switch you can get for R400. Many of them are VLAN aware, as I wrote before.

And as I've said before, I want everything under the Unifi interface. I don't care about spending some extra money, I like their products and the Unifi controller is really convenient to use.

The dude wants to buy a thing with his money, why tf are you guys telling him not to? He's not asking for advice and obviously is competent enough to know what he's doing.

That is, even though Unifi Controller cannot do anything with a dumb US-8 switch. In other words you have no reason at all.

Not sure if you're serious anymore but you can view the video to see the guy configuring the switch inside the Unifi controller.
You must be more specific. I wrote before, they can't configure a dumb switch, so what do you say in human language? :)

I don't think I'm the one who needs to be more specific.

I'll respond to you again if you actually start providing useful information.

Remember, we reversed roles and you didn't bring anything essential to convince users why they should buy Unifi switch.

That ends of a marketing drivel, right?

The non PoE you want hardly sells as most people have a UniFi AP connected. The 60W is 10% more and very popular so get that and maybe you even use the PoE some time. The 150W is much more expensive as it also has SFP https://scoop.co.za/catalogsearch/result/?q=us8

Thanks, I've already ordered the POE passthrough one off Amazon, they have the 60W one listed also but doesn't ship here. Don't need the POE though, have a AC Lite AP which already has it's own 24V injector.

Can you add a link to the one you ordered off amazon please?

Received the US-8 this morning. Also saw last night that Scoop has the US-8-60W in stock now for R200 more, fml.

Anyway, don't need the 4 ports of POE for this application.

Makes a fine addition to my collection!
