I loved 10.04. It looked so pretty and was so intuitive. I didn't test 10.10 just trusted mr shuttleworth as I have done for the last few years but oh my goodness, what a huge step backwards.

Can't hide the stupid left dock. The ubuntu button loads a screen which has no use to me. To find applications I have to click applications, then scroll though all the "Installed" as they put it apps.

Facebook now has a left right scroll bar. I'm going to tear my hair out. And for some reason the firefox menu doesn't go to the top like all the other menus do, so I've lost a lot of screen real estate there too...

Boot up is so much slower. In fact everything seems slower...

And apparently there's no simple way to go back to 10.04 I'd have to re-install from scratch. I'm not a happy camper :(

I always give the UNR versions of Ubuntu a miss.

I just install plain old vanilla Ubuntu on my Aspire One.

I installed a fresh 10.10 UNR and very happy. Guess one has to accept that a netbook is for limited use. No complaints about the new UI
