Yep, waking up and discovering 120 British MPs are defrauding the travel system would be a very South African day indeed. Imagine the chaos as 100 plus MPs do the honourable thing and resign?More honourable conduct from the UK ... they are a beacon to the ANC on how to deal with corruption in their ranks![]()

The ANC is the pot. The UK is the kettle, as far as corruption goes.
The difference here is that we haul the guilty in front of the courts and name and shame the whole lot in the press unlike the dear honourable Brits who just covers it up for the sake of winning a lucrative Saudi defence contract.
And what does this have to do with the discussion at hand ???.
You must show one case of a fraud investigation that has been stopped "UK style" on orders by the govt because it might cause them embarrasment.
Come on ... humour us.
The arms deal of course. Mbeki won't tell us if he met Alan Petard, even though a member of his cabinet remembers a meeting, but is mysteriously vague about who was there. And what does this have to do with the discussion at hand ???.

Er.... JZ's corruption trail that got turfed out of

Er.... no. Its from the idiom "The pot calling the kettle black". In this case, the pot, aka the ANC (with about half of its MP base under investigation/currently been investigated, for everything from highest level fraud down to rape and murder) is trying to call the kettle (UK Mp`s) black... or in this case corrupt.
... since JZ like most other people when placed on trial in a civilized country like ours has the right to a speedy trail and not be kept in court needlessly for years ...
Was Mbeki sworned under oath in a court of law to answer this question ... well I thought so.
You seem to confuse a due process of law as exercised by a judge versus the role and functions of a govt.
The fact is that the N.P.A did not present their case on the appointed time and date in court and the judge threw the case out since JZ like most other people when placed on trial in a civilized country like ours has the right to a speedy trail and not be kept in court needlessly for years , one recess after another.
You can be very fortunate that you live here.
