It's been all over Sky News today.
Most are saying it will cost much much more than what Labour is saying and that it will delay rather than speed up fibre roll out. The comparison to make would be with Australia which has government run broadband, and is very slow and lacking, as without competition there's no real motivation to improve the service.

Then there's the controversial issue of nationalising, but no surprises there as Jeremy Corbyn is in charge of labour, and putting all other fibre companies out of business.

Jeremy really is aiming for a socialist utopia.... One country under Jeremy, comrade!

If Corbyn gets in, the UK is doomed, we will end up like Venezuela, they have no clue just like the ANC. I for one dislike the man intensely, when I see him on TV I think he looks like a rodent. In my opinion, the people blame the tories for the austerity, it's because of the last Labour government, that left the country in such a state, the tories had no choice but to implement austerity and cuts.

I thought Australia was supposed to be a utopia where everything is awesome.

It does actually make sense to have a single fibre network though. It is highly wasteful having several different companies all digging up the same piece of road over and over so they can put in their own fibre.

The mess was a result of a laissez-faire attitude that allowed parasites who don't make any productive contribution to create huge amounts of financial risk. The Tories love that sort of thing. That's why we often referred to New Labour as just like the Tories under a different name.

The broadband in Aus is really rubbish compared to the UK.
