He is the best candidate for the job. Definitely the one to pull Labour out of the Far Left and back into the Centre (or close enough to it, at least).

I don't know how I feel about this. He's not a useless dry spunge like Corbyn. On the other hand, he's not a useless dry sponge like Corbyn.

Big problems for Starmer

- Prominent Remainer and architect of Labour's abysmal Brexit "policy" (I am being charitable here describing it as a policy as it was huge mess up).

- He does not have much charisma. When he speaks, it feels like you are watching paint dry. Charisma is a big thing in modern politics.

But he was probably best of a bad bunch in all honesty. At least in his victory speech he apologised for the cancer of anti-Semitism in his party. Something that Jezza wouldn't do.

Old heterosexual white guy. It's been 45 years since the conservatives first lead the way with a female leader.....
And yet they like to paint the conservatives as the racists and sexists.

The real question is did he shake everyone's hand when celebrating his win.

If he didn't, he's a wimp
