Getting a bit ridiculous now with the scare-mongering. Even the weather app has been warning me about extreme conditions. I’m like “calm down, it’s only 32…”

Next week we have a few days of heavy rain, and low to mid-20s, so back to “normal”.

Some rain would be nice. Not looking very positive in that regard down here.
Outside temp 29, most of the weather stations around here reporting 33-35 (or more)

It's feeling hot up here, I've given up any semblance of work for the day. Fans going and all the windows open and just sitting vegetating now. I'm in half a mind to go sit in the car for the afternoon.

Kakking here in the Netherlands as well. 5 days of low to mid 30's.

Rain predicted for next week...here's hoping.

Also hoping that this is the final part of this kak for the Summer.

Bridgwater is absolutely ridiculous today. Inescapable heat that just hangs everywhere.

So many South Africans complaining it's too hot, in the UK?

Been discussed loads of times. It’s a debilitating kind of heat, regardless of whether you grew up in KZN, The Cape or The Highveld. And the country insulates it all, which just amplifies the effect. Being Capetonian, I honestly find the lack of wind here offensive, too. Give us a breeze, ffs!

I've experienced plenty of UK summers, I've just never found them to be debilitating. I guess it would be akin to me finding an SA winter cold. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

UK summers are pleasant, the heatwaves definitely aren’t. Strangely, I’ve been on the platform on Twickenham station when it clocked -11, but still found it colder when it was -2 on The Highveld. Then again, it’s probably because SA winter clothing is crap?
