[UK] Sunak to announce an election for July, Sky News understands

Don't understand why it's the voting system that's the problem?

Because FPTP means we’re doomed to an endless cycle of Tories - Labour - Tories - Labour.

A proportional system like SA would ensure smaller parties actually start making a dent by getting seats in parliament based on how many votes they got because, as it is, depending on where you live a vote for a smaller party only means a vote for Labour or the Tories in the grander scheme. Your council, for example, could get 1000 votes for Labour, and 999 for Lib Dems, so Labour wins and gets the seat, and Lib Dems get nothing at all, despite having nearly 50% of the support. So all those Lib Dem votes may as well have been Labour votes.

Using Reform as a real life example they’re polling higher than the Tories at the moment and should, on paper anyway, be the official opposition, but because of the current system, they could only end up with 7 seats while the Tories could still get dozens because they need to win councils outright to get them.

Is it 1 seat per council then?

Voting for any of these clowns is like selling your soul. They are all a bunch of morons, the entire lot.

No shortage of zingers (Horizon system, infected blood scandal, HS2, etc.) and the claim that Rishi basically doesn't want to be a wartime PM:

Andrew Bridgen is a proven liar and conspiracy nut. I wouldn’t even waste your time watching any crap he spouts.

Oh @Dave, how far you’ve fallen. Good memes for a while, but now you’ve gone down the “the guy I don’t like is literally Hitler” path. Come back to the light!

Voicey, I just post what I see ;)

It’s not my fault that so much of it is about Farage.

I’ll try find more funny memes…
