[UK] Sunak to announce an election for July, Sky News understands

To be fair, the whole Rwanda thing is a joke. As far as I know, not a single flight has gone. And the Tories went as far to declare that Rwanda was safe. "Trust us bro, we said so." And shut down all challenges to that assertion.

So yes, it needs to be scrapped.

Well to be fair, the Tories have allowed record levels of immigration as well, which is definitely not what their voters demanded. No wonder Reform is taking away so many of their voters. But Labour will likely result in even more immigration into the country to levels never experienced before.

The fact that they're talking about giving people from Rwanda asylum in the UK as part of the deal makes the whole "Rwanda is safe" thing an obvious lie.

Paragraph 16

Exactly. Such a contradiction. I was flawed when they said "trust us" and refused to be challenged on it.

From what basis do you make that assertion from?

As far as I can tell, Labour supports some of the current immigration policies put in place very recently by the Tories and has no plans to reserve them. Talking about legal immigration here and also not asylums.

The Ukraine War is what fulled a lot of the current immigration into the UK. The government fact tracked all those applications.

Impossible. Brexit fixed all that, remember?

Lol.

Brexit was one big lie - it was never about stopping immigration.
Exactly. But it's all that Farage has and his gullible acolytes lap it up.

Now he's rolling out the same old boring playbook once again and his illiterate fan club will be waving their pitchforks with renewed vigour.

Gammon xenophobia.

Immigration was a part of it, but the perception of the EU making laws for the UK was also a big deal
Yup, people didn't even know which laws they were upset about, just a general idea of somehow getting back lost sovereignty.

The Irish government reckon the 80000 or so illegals that came in from NI all did so to flee the UK because of the Rwanda policy, so it may be having some effect after all.

The Torries did nothing to actually send anyone there. They tried and then immediately cucked the first time they got challenged, by the leftist NGOs that they pay for.

They literally had NIMBYs standing on the runways, or surrounding the Border Force vans.

And the government pays the NIMBY NGOs to protest the government so that they have an excuse to not do anything.

Gammon xenophobia.

Immigration was a part of it, but the perception of the EU making laws for the UK was also a big deal.

There was also MASSIVE disinformation about money.
Geez you have gone extremely left. Are you trying to turn the UK into another South Africa?
