Transgender players have been blocked from competing in women’s union and league rugby in England. The Rugby Football Union (RFU) and the Rugby Football League (RFL) amended its regulations to permit only players assigned as female at birth to compete in women's matches.

The new guidance will apply to six transgender women registered to play in England.

The RFU Council voted in favor of updating its gender participation policy for the 2022/2023 season with 33 in favor, 26 against and two abstaining.

"It was a complex and difficult decision and the policy change was not taken lightly or without thorough and full research and consultation." the council said in a statement on Friday.

Two categories are enough: open and female

If modifications (hormones, genetic, gender reassignment, anything else) become too much in open, start a new “everything goes” category

People should stop using the term "assigned at birth". It is factually incorrect. You can observe a baby's biological sex at 12 weeks.

Aren't they usually talking about gender?
Same thing.

Unless if you prescribe to religious B.S that the soul is separate from the body, sex and gender are the same thing when it comes to talking about people.

In ALL sports they should start a new Transgender event.
Bigot, they are real women with lady balls... being double the size and strength is all due to hard work and dedication, nothing to do with all that pesky biology and science stuff, if the other ladies tried harder, they would be the same

Therefore you are making a religious statement that a person's soul is different to their body. Because that is exactly what progressive ideology demands you to believe.

If anyone has seen an actual female rugby player in the gym then they'll know they are quite strong already. They're likely stronger than many guys here, but they'll pale by comparison to a MTF transgender rugby player.

We can’t have trans-lads behaving like Jonah Lomu’s bulldozing ladies left, right and centre. Good call, whoever was involved in this decision must be compensated handsomely.

So.. does this mean trans women aren't real women anymore?

Else why would they be barred from women's games?
Women enough for bathrooms, but not for the changing rooms.. lol

Solves that one question, what is a woman? A member of homo sapiens that is allowed to play woman's rugby..!

Looks like they need banning from cheerleading as welll...

Also, what is this claims to be, as if you need any proof? Have we not been told you just have to feel like The Twain says (a woman) to be a woman?
