ULP or LRP?

So all newer cars use ULP. But which cars should use LRP? I know LRP is a naughty if your car has a catalytic converter. If you buy an older second hand car, how do you know which one to put in?

the newer cars do state on the inside of the cap ULP ... if they older pre 1993 id think they use LRP. not so sure mate

LRP should be used in anything pre 93, and I know from experience that Golfs right up to 99 hated unleaded...

Check if the nozzle fits into the car...

Yip, this nozzle thing also works. The nozzle for ULP is smaller than for LRP; accordingly the filler to your fuel tank too.
