Unable to log in to mycellc web portal

Hi all,

I haven't used my cell c sim in a while but as of next month it might become my main sim (if cell c will give me some kind of support).

I forgot the password to login, and requested a password reset, i received a 15 characters temp password, with no indication on O's or zeros...couldn't log in and my account got locked out.
Then i decided to get the password emailed to me, copy and paste temp password, still doesn't work...i spend the whole of friday trying to get in, i called the support number and someone promised that they will get back to me in 15 minutes and they didn't and on sat i sent an email. and i still haven't received a reply.

My colleague have exactly the same problem and gave up.

I work in IT for over 10 years, and for one of the biggest university in the country and i don't understand why cell c implemented such a strict password reset policy (that also doesn't work)

1) sending a 15 characters password via an sms , with no indication of zeros or O's
2) locking out the account for an hour after 3 tries
3) captcha also doesn't indicate zeros or O's

They should implement some kind of "click on this link" for a password reset , or a simple (maybe even numbers only) temp password that will only be valid for an hour.

There system is crap. Been having the same problem since I joined them. Just use USSD to check your balances.

Also having the same problem. Call their support line who had to request advance support to send me a new password. They sent it but I haven't tried it as yet.

Someone called me on Tuesday,
said that he sent me an email and asked if i received it, i said no, the guy said he will call me back and never did.

Cell C, why is it so hard to reset a password or get some kind of support?
All i want is an email with the password, after being TESTED.
i been wasting way too much time on this.

is there a way to buy data/sms bundles from the site?
i can't find an option for it.

Was about to start a thread about this - been trying for 4 months to log into the portal of a sim that got stolen. Thought of upgrading the account as its already in its 26th month but with this crap, I'm glad I'm migrating all my accounts from other networks to Vodacom.

Tried to contact their callcenter last year and even a bigger disaster.

Its very obvious who is steering the company now - so miss Lars.
