unaccounted usuage

HI GUys

Can a network card be sending signals somewhere and that account to
my usuage.I have no virus hopefully, did the scan and all.

I am not sure but had something similar last year. My network card just started to broadcast out a lot of rubbish.
It flooded our local LAN and also locked up our router.
Replaced it and it was back to normal.

Anyone else had this type of problem?
