So what happens if this rumour of a second cap is true? Then the adsl is no longer uncapped.

Hi there.

I just want to make sure I have it correct. The only reason it is uncapped is because you are using a proxy in your browser and obviously also specify it in your download managers etc. The reason it being uncapped is that the connection is considered to be local so no cap, as there is no cap on local once you exceed the 3gb line cap. However I play Black Hawk Down on Novalogic servers internationally which connect via direct ip. So once I reach the 3gb line cap I would be unable to play. Anything I use before then, even to your proxy will still count towards my 3gb cap. This same logic would hold true for any service that does not make use of or is unable to use the proxy eg. online timers, zone labs update, msn zone, irc, mirc (dont know if mirc uses a proxy).

Please correct me if I am wrong on this one.

On the VPN service you will effectively have all your bandwidth supplied by ODS, barring a little bit of VPN overhead to their VPN server.
