Rain still the lone wolf in uncapped mobile data

Rain is still the only mobile network operator in South Africa to offer uncapped mobile data without limiting fair usage thresholds.

While Rain's offerings are subject to some limitations — streaming quality, for instance — its uncapped packages will allow you to keep using data at reasonable speeds, regardless of how much you have already used.

“Following the recent spectrum auction, Vodacom has begun to prepare its network to enable the use of this new spectrum. Once deployed, Vodacom customers will experience even faster download speeds and will be exposed to new product and pricing options.”

I need to see this

I'm on a Telkom LTE product now - left Rain after really really poor connectivity.

While Rain's Uncapped LTE offerings are quite good (especially in areas where 5G is dominant) the speeds are quite inconsistent and buffering on Youtube, for example, is quite frequent - even at lower resolutions.

Telkom manages their data network better than most in my honest opinion. I can blast YouTube while running a few torrents and playing online games on my phone with none showing signs of issues. Sure my speed is limited to 10Mbps (for 200Gb then down to 8Mbps for 50Mbps thereafter uncapped at 2Mbps) compared to the whopping 0.9Mbps I got on Rain here.

FYI - The Telkom offering is a prepaid bundle valid for 30 days and works in any device, however is bound to their Network only (ie. no roaming).
