Sometimes I wonder about skimread, of course no one in that position is going to send their child to a R30k school, that's why no fee school exist.
Yeah, I pay R1 450 per month for each of my kids in a former Model C school. Thats why I was perplexed at the figure he posted.

Which class in school tells you about relationships, marriage/divorce, the financial cost of having kids, what they'll require to raise for success, how it'll affect your freedoms, etc...?
Isn't that what is supposed to be covered under "life orientation"? I ask because I never had it myself, but my children came home with all sorts of crappy left wing homework about emotions and expressionism and a whole pile of totally irrelevant and useless kak which everyone with half a brain and a parent who cares knows already, like good diet and how to exercise.

Not sure, also after my time.

There are some truths in the world that aren't politically correct to speak about though. So even if that subject was designed to address the topic, it would be sugar-coated and the reality made to be socially acceptable.

To be honest, this tutelage should be coming from your parents/family based on the pitfalls they've experienced in life and how they want you to avoid it and be better than them. Maybe it's not society's or the school's job.

Doubling down eh? Not trying to guilt you into anything. Simply pointing out that you're incredibly upset about someone's circumstance that is not unique nor foreign to society. But you keep punching down if it makes you feel better.
I actually dont think he is punching down, more like he is not feeling sorry for a person making bad decisions. If you dont know by 19 that unprotected sex can lead to life changing consequences, you should not be bonking.

The article detailed all those bad decisions or are they assumptions?

Little late to be calling it "former model c", isnt it ?
All schools are the same now.
Except the ones teaching Roman salutes on Tiktok right ?

I wouldn't cast stones buddy, at your age you still don't know what vaccines do. You can blame religion and lack of education for a lot of people's hardships, and I'd have thought you should be praising this mother for sticking to her guns and raising the kid instead of aborting it - or is that another topic you're being a hypocrite around?
