As I said in the initial post you seem to have misinterpreted:

For her it's probably already too late. She likely has lost any opportunity she could have had to pull herself out of poverty through a healthy growing economy with ample opportunities. Changing her voting patterns though could afford her children the opportunities the current political party have denied her. It may not even be her children that benefit but their children, so deep is the damage dealt so far. At some point the average South African must be pulled from poverty given a functional economy. The hunger for educated professionals will be too great for anything else to happen. There is so much room for this country to grow if given the right circumstances.

Voting for the same political party now however just ensures that her children will be denied those opportunities as she was as the economy continues to shrink.

And this is why you need better public transit, e.g. MyCiti a week pass is R250, so R1k/month or so, public transit costs what it takes to operate, expansion is paid for by the city/government.
Taxis are always going to go for profit, but there's no alternative for a lot of people.

So many refuse to use the bus.

Domestic can use the tshwane busses but says that they take too long and have too many stops.

With the taxi she can go straight home in an hour.
