Underwater cameras and housings?

Hi guys

Does anyone know where I can get a camera and housing for around R4k that I can use up to about 30m under water?

I know sea & sea make underwater cameras, but I can't seem to find any online stores selling them or any other underwater cans?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm looking for a housing as well, needs to fit a 550D with battery grip and a 10 - 20mm Sigma... can guess it's going to cost me a small fortune!

Sony Canon Nikon makes housings for their cameras. I doubt you will get both housing and camera for 4k. Go to their websites and look for the housings and which cameras they work with. See if it is available in SA. Go to dpreview to help decide on the best camera. Remember to get a camera with manual white balance setting - this is important for underwater photography.

You should be able to get Sea&Sea at dive shops.

Found a nice point and shoot Casio 10 megapixel yesterday on gumtree with a housing that goes to 40meters. Took some pics this morning on a dive, works surprisingly well, very chuffed!

Would have loved to use my 7D though, but I just can't justify the cost of a housing vs how often I'll actually be underwater.
