Unemployment rate rises to 30.8%

Unemployment in South Africa has soared to 30.8% in the last three months, the Quarterly Labour Force Survey (QLFS) for the third quarter of 2020 revealed.

Nothing new Cadres will blame it on Covid-19.
Next couple of years it will even increase more. No more middle class.
To be said this is the 4-Industrial revolution viva ANC Cadres.

I can I can because I'm a ANC man.

And the Western Cape at the bottom of the pile, wonder why???

The DA is Shomaxing the ANC

There's two possible explanations here, and I can’t figure out which one has a bigger effect:

1.] The DA is better at creating jobs

2.] People who are employable are also more likely to not vote like idiots

Or 90% less payrolled voters? You can vote all you want to but if you are in the 1-10% not being payrolled, it means little to nothing.

I thought the academics of the left teaches that this does not happen with more social oriented governance.

If you're smart, you'd realise you could join the payroll and still vote for whoever you want.

It's very difficult to measure the unemployment rate, as stated by the broad definition of unemployment.
Real unemployment is probably 20% + higher

You got it wrong. When you give up looking to be employed, you are not considered unemployed anymore lol!
and if you choose to be unemployed then what? Are you still considered unemployed?
