Just got home and fired her up...

A few things that I've noticed - the device does make a very faint noise- esp when under load. It's almost a white noise so for now I can live with it.

I've also noticed that my iPhone didn't really like certain 5Ghz Channels when setting it to VHT80 - but will play with this.

I don't have loads of time but the most noticeable improvement so far has been the latency... I've hit 1ms's a few times!

More to follow...

Also picked mine up at dealer pricing yesterday. Had to get a Tenda injector, as the older ubiquiti 24V injectors won't work.

Mainly got it so my Mi Box and microserver can connect at ac speeds (can't run ethernet where I am now).

Everything worked perfect, except I had to use the UniFi controller to provision, as the app doesn't seem to support the nanoHD yet.

Nice!

I upgraded the firmware on my device.

Also, keep an eye on the UniFi Beta Forum (You'll need to register to get access) to get updates, provide feedback etc to em

How do these new ones differ from the UAP‑LR, is it just faster WiFi?

Better speed (well once more Wave 2 devices are rolled out (phones, laptops etc).
They're also designed to better handle high density (HD) environments where you have loads of devices connected to it. 200+ concurrent clients.

There's more info on the data sheet.

Plus you can put awesome skins on these :D
