Well, what co.za has done is the same thing (it's called EPP)

So now that you can become a registrar and provision domains immediately without a "ticket email" system, why the hell would anyone still want to use the legacy system?
Right? Now they're introducing Mr. Price Increase & forcing you to pay for the domain BEFORE it gets registered (because previously you could register a domain and only pay whenever you felt like it)
This is to try and "help" the masses to move to an accredited registrar and moving into the "new" era of EPP (something overseas people have enjoyed for decades now)
