Union claims workers must be defended against Telkom CEO Sipho Maseko

ROFL .. so that fact that its privatized is why its failing .. not because the management at staff are incompetent .. so many success stories of SOE's .. cant imagine why the government would privatize at all .... roll eyes

Communications Workers Union (CWU) Secretary-General Aubrey Tshabalala said Telkom’s management “is eager to just dismiss workers” which is a reflection that the privatization of state-owned enterprise (SOE) yields no results.

So what is happening in Escum, SAA, Post Office? Are these SOE's yielding results? I think not! Maybe Aubrey Tshabala should get off the gravy train and join economy class, the farking idiot.

The unions will be the cause of most of the job losses when the companies they attack have to close down permanently.
Government needs to put measures in place to control unions from running amok

Yeah sorry Aubrey, what you claim is not actually the truth (however much your deluded single neuron may think it is)

If anything, I reckon Telkom should spin off the old Copper line infrastructure into a totally seperate company and ringfence its income/expenses and literally give it to the employees who would work there.... It would collapse under its own useless weight in very short order..

Unions are basically religions at this rate.

to compensate for poor earnings and its dismal share-price performance.

It's still making a profit and doesn't require any bailouts. Unlike all SOEs.

BURN DOWN ALL THE SHOPS!!!!!!
HURT THE FAILING ECONOMY BY BLOCKING ROADS SETTING TRUCKS ON FIRE AND LOOTING, BECAUSE NOTHING WOULD HAPPEN TO US!
