Just called them. They said I need to ignore it and not change anything. They said it's R1000 monthly and still completely unlimited. The devs are making changes to the website which is not supposed to be shown to customers so they are aware of it.

I think something is messed up through out their services. My lte limit now says 5GB and its unticked the off-peak thing.
I have had that kind of scare quite a few times after a website upgrade. It resolves itself after a while but it seems they do not do adequate testing of changes given the basic nature of the bugs or they test in the live environment.

Well that doesn't make sense considering the router retails for $400 on Chinese retailers and 400 pound on amazon. I got mine for R1000 and they are now going for R2250.
imagine what THEY got it for then

Nope. And if you think anything in life is free or "wow amazing deal cheap" then I have some news for you when you become an adult one day....

I was referring to a bundle deal from a Chinese supplier. Buy 5g radios and get a discount on 5g CPEs. Much like getting a free dog when buying a caravan from the Roma folk in Snatch.

Patronize much?

Is there anybody that currently has a 5G connection, but is not shown as covered on the RAIN 5G coverage?

Yes. I'm using it at home with zero coverage according to the map. Get between 350Mbps and 480Mbps

Thanks cavedog, if I remember correctly though, they did contact you for the trial. Or did you order via the other method?

I used multiple emails and they contacted me for my work address. That was another issue beacause they were unwilling to give me the service so I just ended up ordering on the website and RAM delivered it.

Took it home and using it there now.

Only thing is now they have pushed the price on that router up to R2250 which for some might not be appealing. So happy I got it before at R1000 should have actually made two ordered and cancelled the one after I got it

If there was even a remote chance that I could get connection I would just jump on it immediately. Right now I am waiting to see what MTN or rain does for black friday and then pull the trigger on afrihost 100gb fixed LTE deal.

Unfortunately for me, 100Gb LTE isn't enough. My wife uses the connection for work purposes, and goes through a few hundred gigs a month. We have no access to fibre, and adsl is practically dead. I really dont want to get in bed with helkom again just fr ADSL.

Choices are limited, making do as best we can. And hoping that we get 5G service sometime soon. I would even settle for an affordable uncapped 4G solution. The congestion on RAIN LTE is horrible. Down to kbps.

Mind sharing them? I just have a feeling they have most of the 5G setup in CPT and just waiting on a official launch.
