Hi there

I have an issue with my samsung smart TV using hulu plus, while streaming the hulu app crashes out of nowhere with an "video unable to connect error" hulu stays connected but i have to restart the show. this only started recently, i think after the app updated.

I also use hulu on PS4 with no issues so it's directly related to the samsung app on TV.

I know i should probably log with unotelly directly?

Considering they are owned by the content nazis in SA, I suspect you will get nothing but middle fingers from them.

I believe that they equally care about this because lots of their users are using UnoTelly. For a company to maintain its existence, when its customers are asking for something reasonable, it is obligated to give 100% to make it a reality. Especially when we are talking about a big number of customers.

It would make sense for them to co-operate, but you obviously don't know Multichoice Think MPAA and RIAA rolled into one

About your issue with HBO GO, it's better to get in touch directly with our support team. Your issue is very specific and they will probably ask you to run some testings and provide some screenshots. You can get in touch with our support team by following this link: http://help.unotelly.com/support/tickets/new . After raising a ticket, you can PM us your ticket number and we will give you high priority.

Some tips for faster support (include them on your initial ticket):

- Let our support team know about the devices that you are experiencing the issue.
- Let our support team know if you are experiencing issues with just HBO Go or other streaming services too.
- Let our support team know about the frequency of your issue.
- Let them know that you are from South Africa and the ISP you are using.

Thanks, I will do that next time but i assume it is fine because i can immediately switch to netflix or even hulu plus on my ps4.

Hello Isie,

Besides some retweets from both sides, we do not have any relationship with Netflix or the other streaming services we support.

However, just like with the situation with Showmax, we are always available to co-operate if there is an issue with any of the streaming services we support.

From what I've gleaned from this thread they're trying, unsuccessfully ATM, to liaise with ShowMax to sort it out.

The static routes and DNS setup will vary depending on the router you have.

Question, does using Unotelly affect YouTube performance?

Specifically on the Roku 3, if I have it setup to use the Unotelly DNS, Netflix and Hulu will obviously work fine but will YouTube performance suffer or will I still be fetching content locally in SA?

It does not suffer on my end. Not sure on where data is pulled from though. I suspect some of it is cached locally.

Haven't had a problem with youtube streaming whilst using unotelly for the entire time I've been on the service. Have not tried to check where the content is streamed from though because there hasn't been any problems
