Question, does using Unotelly affect YouTube performance?

Specifically on the Roku 3, if I have it setup to use the Unotelly DNS, Netflix and Hulu will obviously work fine but will YouTube performance suffer or will I still be fetching content locally in SA?

Hello,

UnoTelly does not interfere with YouTube.

However, please check if you have turned off your Dynamo settings for Sky News at https://www2.unotelly.com/dynamo .
This is the only thing that may interfere with YouTube streaming.

@UnoTelly - during last year's SWC you offered a free, extended trial so people could watch it - will you be doing likewise during the RWC?

@bwana, may I ask where you are going to stream the rugby from? Looking for a decent stream.

Sport really isn't my thing. Apart from the five matches I'll be at I doubt I'll be watching much of it. That said I'd probably watch via iTV on my iPad or Roku.

Hello Bwana,

There will be not an extended free trial for the Rugby World Cup. However, all non UnoTelly users are welcomed to try UnoTelly for free for 13 days by taking our free trial and confirming their e-mail address.

Furthermore, for people who want to get some extra free days, they can try our invite system and get 14 days free for any of their friends that sign up for an UnoTelly free trial. You can find the invite system here: https://www2.unotelly.com/invite

Why do the ads on Huluplus buffer but not the other content? Currently on a 10mb line with Hulu set to the backup server (CT and JHB dns)

What speed do you have incoming streaming set on? I am able to select on my LG. But adverts aren't controlled by this, and therefore come in at higher res, and buffer.

Hello Thestrealth,

The buffering is probably caused by latency between your network and Hulu's ad network. We do not touch the connection between you and Hulu's ads.

One suggestion. The ads are most likely loaded straight for the US. As a result, you can try with one of our US DNS servers and see if that helps. You can find our DNS servers here: https://www2.unotelly.com/global-servers .

Please let us know if this will help you.
