Now using NordVPN with VPN setup on router - can confirm iPlayer working again on Samsung Smart TV. NordVPN support has advised me that BBC has started active clampdown and DNS/VPN services (like Netflix) and therefore it's necessary to switch servers at times.....

If you haven't tried Getflix then they have a 14 day free trial. They also do yearly but Getflix is great value for money at 4usd a month also. I suppose I'm reluctant to commit to long term after the unotelly debacle.

But yeah, it's a good service and they have an app which is used to quickly update your IP address when ever it changes, and for me the use of a UK VPN included in the price is fantastic for getting BBC etc on my laptop when I travel.

I see Getflix does have a Joburg server, but UnoTelly has a Cape Town one which is even better for me. At $4.95 it's also basically the same price.

Suddenly... about eight months ago.

Are you paying month to month or did you have an extended package?

UnoTelly is only needed for BBC iPlayer in my household atm. It's always worked fine, and today is was only down briefly. Working fine again.

Uno is still very useful fo me. Still a lot of services that are supported and I'm on the VPN package which I use quite often. Can't complain atm

Yup, it did that for me as well. My thinking is that if what you charge for something is what it's worth. I suspect that it's due to them not being able to deliver Netflix regions anymore.

VPN comes included with Getflix... with the added bonus that Getflix works.

Has UnoTelly finally bitten the dust or something? BBC iPlayer not working for a while now on it and I haven't even needed to pay for the service for several months already. They just provide a button to add another month free of charge. It's like they know the service isn't worth paying for.

Took out an UnblockUs sub this evening and instantly everything on the Apple TV started working.

I'm happy to pay for Getflix. At least they put some effort in.
