I see Unotelly has added SA to the Dynamo - not entirely sure why that's important since there doesnt seem to be any SA specific content at this stage… but still, kudos to Unotelly. :)

In another thread I saw someone mention that if you are connected to SA netflix most content is delivered from the local servers. Might be a small benefit there once the local library grows. Then you can switch Netflix to SA without disabling Unotelly on the router every time.

You could do that even before SA became an option by selecting "Turn off" - same number of steps involved and the same result for us.

Thanks bwanas! We received a lot of requests to support Netflix SA. It was actually the overwhelming the first choice in the survey we sent out few days ago:)

If you were in the US at the time it would :) Turn it off and you appear to Netflix to be in the region where you actually are. Now that SA has Netflix that would be SA.

I have a problem with the Netflix app on Android. I am using the US netflix. I have blocked Googles DNS on my router so that my chromecast can work. That's all good.

Now on the android app itself I can't play any content unless I change back to South Africa. I get some time error on the Netflix app. I have the latest version of the app installed. Is there a solution that will allow me to play content on my tablet and my chomecast using the US netflix?

Thanks bwana. I have confirmed with our tech team that this is the correct behaviour. Thanks for sharing this!

I'll admit it, I was naive and voted for SA purely for this reason, without thinking that I could just turn it off - doh!

For clarification. Can I use my US Netflix account for SA Netflix if I switch off Unotelly in the router? In other words, will my Netflix log in be accepted on both versions? I do understand I can switch regions through Unotelly, but just asking.

Good thing they support soo many other services, if NF goes ahead with the changes and it affects Dynamo I'd still stick with Uno for other services like BBC etc. Would still be worth it for us cord cutters
