Phone call from Hell.
She: You have been chosen to get BEEG discounts on your MTN calls.
Me: Wait. I am with Vodacom.
She: It doesn't matter. You will get these BEEG discounts anyway. "Bla bla and lots more bla. I cannot get a word in".
Me: Wait. Wait. Let me speak please. How on earth can MTN give me discounts when I am with VC?
She: It doesn't matter if you with Cell C, VC or MTN sir. It works with all networks --- Bla bla and non stop bla.
Me: Stop now and let me speak please. MTN does not have 3G here so I am not interested.
She: You can call can't you.
Me: Yes, but the internet is too slow to use.
She: Impossible. We use underground cables and it is shared by all networks. What is your bank account number?
Me: Why?
She: Because we want to see if you comply with our requirements.
Me: For what? I told you that I am not interested and now you want to sign me up forcefully.
She: Can you please give me your account number.
I then ended the call. Guess what. She phoned me back.
