Hi All
Got my 1024 about 2weeks ago.Thing works like a rocket when it works.Running through a Billion router with ethenet connection.I'm getting constant sync problems. It just wont stay on.I'm an Iburst refugee which I had got to be rock steady.I dont know if it's something of my doing thats causing the instablilty or a line problem.Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

Paste your line SNR and attunation values, you can get these from the router. It was help to give an idea of how stable your line actually is...

Log a call with Telkom - it is most likely the copper to the DSLAM, full of corrosion, birdpoo or whatever.

Hi Guys

Thanx for the replys..I dont know how yet but it's stable for now.did the call to telkom as well. i know they checked it out.Dont know the result yet but i'm happy camper for now. This DSL stuff is a bit more complicated to get to grips with than my IBURST.So here's a question for you.I'd like to keep the IBURST around as a backup and also to keep the Kids away from my bandwidth. How do I configure my home network so that both ADSL and IBURST are on the same network without creating a whole new world of network pain for myself?
Thanx

You want them both online at the same time and have policy based routing I assume. Not many (if any) cheapy dsl routers can do policy based routing. Your going to need to investigate a firewall behind the two that can do that for you. Failover is easier. Once again a firewall behind the two (something like pfsense will work) can get you what you need.
