If I try to unzip an archive by right-clicking and dragging to desktop 2 > Extract here, it always places the extracted folder on Desktop 1. Is there any way to tell Windows to just place the damn extracted files on the desktop (#2) that I'm dragging it to?

1728294433357.pngHint hint ... it has options for all weird and wonderful things. My favourite is opening the app/window on the active screen, not the last screen for instance. There might be an option in the settings for your requirement

I'm using 7zip but it helps fkall to answer the question. Stupid Windows.

I've worked with people who extract to their desktop and usually they have no open spots anywhere.

They just live in icon hell like savages.

Some applications remember the last screen and window position when they were closed. They save this setting in a configuration file or the system registry, so when you reopen them, they appear in the same place. Winzip probaly one of them. I don't use it (it's rubbish(KAK)) so can't tell for sure.
