OMG KINDZADZA OMG

i never thought they would come to SA
I would love to go, except i refuse to goto Nekkies, that is the worse venue imaginable.

Origin has an amazing lineup - although its too close to nekkies for my liking ;p and to close to a town that attracts the wrong crowd. What out for the violent drunks.

I see loads of folks don't like Stomping at Nekkies.

I always enjoy it there.

Kindzadza is cool.

I hope I can make it to both events.

Would kill to make it to the Fu - Cha Stomp at Hornbill Rockpool.

Will post details for all you Gauteng folk interested. It is going to be a blast. Broken Toy are the main act.

Fu-Cha Gathering Summer Stomp!!!
@ The Hornbill Rock Pool
9th & 10th of Feb…
…a two day outdoor adventure…

The first summer gathering is upon the ‘Fu-Cha’ and what better way to give thanks to all who have contributed to the energy these festivals have created. ‘The Fu-Cha Gathering Summer Stomp’ will turn the beautiful Hornbill Ravine into a magical playground of psychedelic pleasure allowing all who make the trip to escape into a reality unknown to others… come join us for another anticipated outdoor adventure…

Main act:

..::Broken Toy::..

Broken Toy is James Copeland , a 27 year old from Cape Town, South Africa. He has produced psytrance with a unique, twisted funk style and a wide variety of moods for the dancefloor since 2001. From full-on to electro-funk, from deep and dreamy to tribal techno. Previous musical experiences include being a guitarist and bass player in a metal band and producing as a member of the more dark/full-on project ” Damage “.

Fu-Cha Tips::..

Anyone who has been to a festival of this nature before will tell you that it’s essential to have your own space of accommodation. A tent shared amongst friends is perfect to have as a base to experience everything this festival has to offer. Your base will allow you to step out of the fun for a rest whenever you like. No need to be traveling back home at some silly hour.
(Please see camping and chalet accommodation under ticket info.)

Bring a warm jacket and at least one change of clothes to ensure your comfort.

Swimming gear, towels and sun block are essential.

A torch is always a handy item if you are camping.

Be sure to have these numbers incase you get lost on the way to Hornbill: 014 577 1223 or 082 856 3024

..::Ticket Info::..

R110 - Early Bird Pre-Sale tickets available from the 18th – 31st of January
R140 - Pre-Sale from the 1st of February
R160 - Tickets @ the gate on the day
R60 - Sunday day pass from 8AM

..::Ticket Outlets::..

Gates open 12noon and music will end 7pm Sunday night
For more info please mail us at [email protected] or call 083 652 5566

..::Camping::..

Loads of shaded camping on lush green grass is available to pre-sale ticket holders only.
Gates will be open to camping pre-sale ticket holders from 10am

MODS: Could you please change the title of this thread to "Outdoor Electronica Events for 2008"?

I was looking at going to Origin (haven't been to one b4) but you say there are a lot of "violent drunks" <--- :p
Are you being serious? I thought this was supposed to be one of the more peaceful ones? ... did u go to the previous ones Surv0?

I'm one of those violent drunks. I say *sh!!* every time I misplace my drink and smack myself on the forehead.

The Conscious Cinema will be screening various movies and showcasing audio lectures on matters of global and spiritual interest at various intervals throughout the weekend.

... this must be like 'exorcism' for you :p:D

It had better be a good remix :p

Anybody still listen to Infected Mushroom - Classical mushroom and BP empire, the gathering, merlin? The old classics, been listening for 9 years now and still not bored of it.
IMO its the best trance ever created, their latest stuff is too commercial.

I want to have little Infected babies

Daily... add my 3 favourites - Deeply Disturbed, Dream Theater and Never Never Land to that list

I must say, Becoming Insane has grown on me, but then again, I'm also into rock.

Converting Vegetarians was the last decent album that i can listen to.
Everything 2004 and later im not gonna waste my time listening to. Especially "Im the Supervisor"
Classical Mushroom and BP empire remain the best by miles and miles and miles - deep tracks, with deep meenings. Ive gone on many a journey listening to that.

Cool. I will update past events with links to photographs when they become available and try keep updating coming events :)

Its a pity psy trance never really took off in JHB cause I would have loved to play a couple sets up here - ah alas. Tech trance is making its way into the mainstream though which is awesome as there are some killer trax out there these days. Sander van Doorn making some waves.

I also love Psy. The best Psy parties I ever went to were in Israel. Absolutely huge cranked parties.
