I'm hoping later today. Why so long with such a low stage? Sure it was just a precaution.
They said they hope to return 8 units over the weekend. Can only imagine most of them are boiler tube leaks, they have a long turn around time. They then have to hope that more units don't trip. I suspect we'll be seeing load shedding in the next week as well, that's if they somehow manage to get out of the current woods.

Thanks for the info.
Still seems unusually long for stage 2 compared to all in the past, so quietly hoping..

Not really just be lucky they didn't jump to a higher stage. Looking at the figures from the spokesperson over the last few days, we're lucky it didn't

This doesn't give much hope either.

Remember to pay your new grid connection levy. Sorry you still pay full price even if it`s not used. This is DA brilliance solving the income shortage.

I have never experienced load shedding in my life. I wonder what it's like... Dark? Cold?... Honestly I must be one of the luckiest South Africans because load shedding is truly a rumour to me

The alarming thing is, winter hasn't even arrived.
The alarming thing is that we're supposed to be repairing / maintaining Koeberg, and that isn't happening.
That _needs_ to happen.

Thats another 800MW or so off the grid for each unit they take off for repair. Winter is coming...

I think (somebody else can confirm) that one of the units of Koeberg is already off until June - yes they delayed maintenance but it is off for re-fuelling.
