We've been off for 33 hours - since 5am yesterday - and are scheduled for LS at 18:00

City Power truck arrived an hour ago but the men can't work until the "cable has been checked". Unfortunately the man with the cable checking instrument isn't part if their team so they've contacted him and asked him to swing by.

They're currently dozing on the pavement after enjoying KFC and cokes supplied by the neighbours.

I suspect they might hang around for dinner.

Your neighbours doing it wrong... you dont feed em till its fixed.

With all these breakdowns, bets on stage 4 by Thursday when they have another couple of "unexpected" breakdowns?

Think its time to start looking at 'loadshedding' solutions. Need to maintain about 1kw for 2.5 hours - 3x a day.

We had that, were on the hospital grid - neighbouring houses complained, so we were taken off.

Escum must be the only company who sells a product and then asks the consumer to use it sparingly! Go figure.

Maybe there should be news articles when eskom is not loadshedding.
It would carry the point over much better.

No matter how much you okes complain & moan, if you aren't off grid you will have electricity when THEY say so, and you WILL accept it.

Just like all of us. No matter how much you moan, you WILL do what they say.

From where I come from companies like this we call naaiers.

Anything is possible with Eskom but their press release did say that some other plants are "soon coming back online", so I'm hopeful it stays at stage 2.
