Haha yeah but there hasn't been any generators fired up so it's been awesome...
Wow that is lucky, if my area says it's going out, it's going out. Friends of ours miss a lot of scheduled load shedding :-(

Why would they let you off? They don't let anyone off, I've seen areas been off for 34 hours and power came back for 5 and load shedding.
There don't seem to be any firm rules, the usual mix of some do / some don't.

Big area around North riding, Sundowner, Boskruin etc went down at 3:30AM this morning (not scheduled) and came back on about 30 min ago. We are scheduled to go off again in 15 min. At least I could charge my batteries for 45 min. I wonder if it will come on again at 14:30. Never know in this area.

Probably paying my deposit on Monday for a solar installation.

Move closer to a hospital. We stay <1km from one. We're not guaranteed to never have outages/LS, but you do get days like this week when we haven't had any...

Does anyone have a trend of Eskom's total generation output over the year. In the last 7 days (from their site), the most seems to be just over 30 (include emergency output). I don't see them improving too much beyond 30 - I'd love to see at least the weeks when they aren't shedding.

We thought being close to politicians' houses helped, but this "season" we're being shed every time, and too often come back on half an hour to an hour late.
No rules.. just like Africa Time.

I'm 2.5km away, Eagle Canyon is less then 500m away, they don't seem to care, I've been at a hospital when LS kicks in. They don't seem to distinguish between hospitals anymore. Even some government ones.

(Actually, many are just using chin warmers in the areas I shop.)

That only gives the last 7 days.

Oh right yeah true, sadly it would probably need to be tracked by someone who pulls it regularly. But they deployed that thinking it was the dashboard we wanted.

Hm, they might be able to cancel LS before Monday; in which case Eskom will pat itself on the back and brag about "what a wonderful job" they're doing.
