Update Galaxy S GT I9000 with NEW Value Pack XXJW4 2.3.6 Firmware

I upgraded my Galaxy S I9000 to this new value pack 2.3.6 XXJW4 and had no problems with the update. Then I restored my phones backup with MyBackup Pro. The phone lags alot as if the CPU is to slow. What can I do it enhance this? I use whatsapp with the latest version and its extremely slow with that app. What can I do to better this?

Has only one done the update and having the same problem?

It was lagging a little when I started the phone up... going the SD card check ect. After that it was ok. The phone Firmware work ok but sometimes its like there is to little RAM or the CPU is to slow. Im now sure how to resolve this...

Again, was this after the firmware installation or after the backup you restored?

Sounds like it could be a conflict with the old backup and the new firmware. After a major andriod update it is best to reinstall your apps, from 4.0.3 to 4.0.4 my Titanium Backup also caused random Force Closes.

So some feedback. I uninstalled Whatsapp and then reinstalled it and the phone is operating great

Would be interesting to hear if others had success with upgrading to the NEW Value Pack XXJW4 2.3.6 Firmware and CM9 ICS. I simply cannot find the file Value Pack XXJW4 2.3.6 Firmware file. Even the hotfile site says the file has moved. Likewise Odin seems equally impossible, but I plan to go the Heimdall route since it worked for me before.
