I have never seen any reports from Eskom about ghost workers, I think it could have just been people alleging things without any shred of proof.
These things aren't plucked from thin air as you'd like to make believe, here's an (old) article for example stating the accusations are compiled by people scrutinizing their financial reports.

Eskom’s financial report may expose widespread corruption

ESKOM: THE GUPTA, THE BAD AND THE UGLY

As reported by News24, let’s take a look at some of the financial skeletons which may come pouring out of Eskom’s clandestine cupboard:

  • The approximately R30bn in derivative losses emanating from the Gupta capture of Eskom treasury
  • The approximately R50bn in contractors claims on capital build
  • The approximately R500bn in asset overvaluation directly attributable to the high tariff regime currently prevailing
  • The overvalued coal stocks and continuing corruption in coal procurement of around R8bn per annum
  • The overstaffing and capitalised salaries relating to the 30 000 overstaffed employees; thousands of employees suspected of being ‘ghost workers’
  • Eskom’s “phantom bonus scheme” which milks millions of rands annually in favour of already over remunerated senior employees
  • Failing power infrastructure due to poor maintenance and poor quality coal
  • Exaggerated coal costs resulting from road transport costs from Medupi
  • The stranglehold corruption has on Eskom
  • Questionable contracts on renewables that force the utility to pay for electricity at a higher rate than Eskom’s costs and which decimate Eskom’s sales and ability to service debt.
You simply gotta try harder, just because you didn't see **** doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Seems they'll allow any damn fool to shill for them these days..

Your problem is that you get too excited and in your haste you can't even read properly,

Analysts believe this report could reveal billions lost to corruption and nepotism.

It is a prediction by some analyst not a fact, now get the actual report from Eskom and let's see how it compares.

Yup.

They should have renamed it. Something like propaganda room, or terrorism room, or insurgency room, or limpet-mine-planting room.
Thanks to the 80s I know what a limpet mine looks like, where it could be hidden and of course about 50 routes out of my school and that being moved to the field for a bomb scare isn't the safest place. Ah the 80s a great time to be in school. Also shopping centers where they had metal detectors and armed guards outside, but I do remember the train through Cresta as well.

Wth my electricity is still on when it should be off for 2 hours now. Is this site even working anymore? https://loadshed.org/zones/4795020674596864/www-capetown-gov-za/goodwood how can I plan for this? I know it's probably going to go off at two, meh.
Thats because that site thinks its stage4, which it is for eskom users, but in goodwood you are probably on CoCT power where it is currently stage3.

You will get more correct times with eskomsepush which adjusts for the different CoCT loadshedding stages.

Fsckit.... seems like Durban has problems defining their blocks and what areas they apply to.

And exactly how much longer are you guys to be using this excuse?
well, the ANC has had 28 years to stop using apartheid (which lasted at best only 31 years) as an excuse ... so De Ruyter has lots of time left by that timeframe
