Eskom reducing load-shedding to Stage 3

Eskom has announced that due to some recovery in generation capacity over the past 24 hours, load-shedding will be reduced to stage 3 from 21:00 tonight until 05:00 on Friday.

Thereafter load-shedding, will be lowered to Stage 2 until 05:00 on Monday morning.

I suspect CoCT will now move to stage 2 from 21:00. Makes no difference to me since I will be shed at 22:00, regardless of what stage it is

For today coct announced:
6am-10am = stage 1
10am-10pm = stage 3
10pm onwards = stage 4

So yes you can plan, but you have to adjust to coct changing their levels all the time. So its nice they can reduce the stage but like you say, annoying to figure out when it is what stage.

The eskomsepush app does make this easier though.
Exactly, I would prefer they just stick to the schedule.

No problems tonight, just the regular 2h-2h30 slot, and no problems during the day either. Back to business as usual for the area, thanks City of Cape Town.

Our power went out Wednesday at 18:00. Came on briefly at 8PM and then went off for 21 hours. Came on again for an hour and then we where load shed and once again it failed to come on again. Returned last night at 1:20AM and just went off again at about 6 so either it failed again or they changed our schedule. So unbelievably disruptive especially to those who work from home. Now to see if it comes on again after 8 indicating we have probably been moved to a new block and if it does return for how long. I have just decided to go off grid no matter the cost. I can't live like this. It seems to happens to us every time there is any kind of load shedding.
