Updating my Android firmware on Samsung Galaxy Tab2

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab2 GT P5100. It has Android 4.0.4 installed but I saw that Android Jelly bean and Kit Kat is already available,however if I try to update my firmware is keeps telling me that no update is available. I used the Software Update option under Settigs and I also tried Samsung Kies. Both tells me that no updates are available. My service provider, Alltech Autopage, referred me to MTN in this regard, MTN referred me to Alltech, and not one seems to be able willing to help.

There are issues with the older phones. I read about it the other day being to do with hardware limitations on the older SAMSUNG platforms.
