there is no official version of WM 6.0 for your K-Jam. there are loads of coocked ROM's out there.
If you are running on exchange 2007 upgrading to mobile 6.0 will definitely be in your best interest.

There is a comparison table available for download here

There is also a very helpfull detailed link to doing the upgrade here

Have to admit I wasn't even aware it could be upgraded. However 6 is a better option from a software development perspective.

Hey guys,

Thanx for the info. Will have a look at the cooked roms.
I've checked the comparison table. Are there any other reasons to upgrade. Speed or the like?

I upgraded my K-Jam to Mobile 6 a couple of months ago. NO problems so far, runs perfectly. I used the Mobile 6 Business Edition, download links should still be on the XDA forums. Apart from a couple of nice improvements, it also seems to run a bit faster than Mobile 5.

So it's a good idea to upgrade my kjam? Doesn't that nullify the warranty on it?

Like where do one start ? Witch cooked ROM is the best ? etc......

Any replies welcome

Hey Dompiet

Check here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/

Register and do some reading before you do anything with your phone.

I chatted with someone from the imate site, they are busy working on an official release for WM6 for the K-JAM, but there's no release date as yet.

Cheers

Thanks Bud

I already did that, and it's pretty confusing IMO. They talk about stuff I've got no idea of and that's why I thought there would be a step by step instruction or something.

Like this: Step 1: Own a KJam :D
Step 2: Check the OS
and so on

Ton's of info on xda-developers but the language is English, I don't really grasp as to what they are talking about.

Thank You

Cheers

You have to be careful with cooked roms. Lot of guys end up with bricks that can't be fixed without sending it in for repairs.
