upgrade time

ok, i am due for an upgrade... i am looking for a phone which can do pretty much everything, but 3g / hsdpa is not a must have cause i got ADSL already...

what phone do u guys recommend, or should i wait a bit for a new hot phone coming out soon?

i am more of a samsung person at this stage, not too keen on the sony's..

Go for one of the windows mobile ones. The HTC TyTn is excellent but expensive.

The S710 looses the touchscreen and the 3G, but is cheaper and small.

Iphone is basically a Video Ipod with a phone, so feature wise it is not that great.

The HTC touch is worth a look.

Looking at cheaper phones, the Samsung U600 is quite popular and o so pretty

Avoid nokia these days, Build quality is very suspect.

i saw the HTC touch in the shop the other day.. u reckon that screen will last a good 2 years before the next upgrade??

should i get a new phone now, or wait for the tytn II to come out here??

i should be able to get most of the phones on my package free..

Not a big difference between the Tytn 1 and 2. - litte more memory and one or 2 minor stuff

I recon the pay-in on a R400 pm contract for a Tytn 2 will be about R4500. That was what it was when the Tytn 1 came out. not worth it IMHO.

The multi-touch screen of the HTC Touch and the Iphone as been around since the 1980's. The technology is solid, will last 5 years i reckon.

My Cousin just got an HTC Touch- pretty awesome little gimmick they have going with the brush touch option
