If you looking for something similar to the TyTn, go for the Samsung i600. I also wanted the Tytn but couldnt afford the R2900 pay-in. The i600 is really the best value for money for what you get and its a brilliant smartphone. I also upgraded my i600 to Windows Mobile 6.
I'm not sure what other phones are available, but I'm using a I600 for the past 2 weeks and it really is a briliant phone. I also upgraded to WM6. It has a lot of extra features compared to the standard Windows Mobile features. Doesn't have document editors though, only viewers. But you can get Documents to Go which is by far the best Document editing software available.
I used a HTC S710 and HTC P3450 as well for a couple of weeks and they have a much nicer form-factor but no 3G/HSDPA. If that's not a problem, I would recommend these phones as well.
So if you don't want to pay-in, it's not a bad choice.
